Creeper - Delightful Rot

Details:
Creeper
Delightful Rot

Notes:
Ssssss... That's a nice everything you have... A powder keg stuffed with sweet lime and grass, this scent is innocuous at first with a smoky, spicy undertone.

My thoughts on this perfume:

*sniff* "Oh god, this smells like lemon floor cleaner. I don't want this on me - I wonder if I can put it back and pretend I didn't pick it out?"
"No, can't do that... okay, here goes. Oh god, it smells like floor cleaner and tyres! "
"Now it just smells like tyres."
"It's like a mechanic's garage. A similar note to '67 Chevy Impala, but not nearly as pleasant."
"That citrus is back again. Now it smells like the freshly cleaned toilet of a mechanic's garage."
"This is gross."
"Still gross."
*about an hour later* "Bearable. Smokey diesel oil. Not as awful as it began, but not my thing."
Sillage was annoyingly strong at first but not so bad when it finally morphed into something more mellow. Longevity was about 7 hours or so.

Rating:
1/5 I resisted the urge to scrub, but only just.

Day 79!

    1. Definitely at first! Not one I'd reach for again, for sure.

  2. Yikes! I was thinking about trying this one in my next Delightful Rot sample order... now I'm not so sure! I've had mixed luck with their oils, moreso than a lot of other brands. I do love '67 Chevy Impala though.

    1. Of all the brands I've tried, I think theirs is the one where I've hit the most 'ew!' fragrances. Some of them have had me reeling back in horror. I think they are definitely a niche brand with a specific 'non-perfume' perfume clientele.

  3. Sounds a bit like my experience with an aged imp of Djinn that I got from Su... No citrus of course in that one, but much the same experience anyway.

    1. Ah, that moment when you sniff the vial and think, "Oh no... I do NOT want to put this on myself!" ;-)

    2. Yeah, I´ve had those! Djinn smelled like a New Car scented Wunderbaum! O_o Who in their right mind would want to smell like that?? Another one was Rume by Slumberhouse that actually smelled like rotting hay and urine!! x_X (Which is rather strange as so many people have waxed poetic about that one...)

  4. Another brand I'm not too keen to try. The scents don't sound that appealing, and for some reason a ton of their Etsy feedback, while ultimately positive, mentions their packages being initially lost, to a frightfully high degree. It's quite odd.

    1. It's funny you should say that because my order got lost! Then I went back and read the feedback properly (as opposed to just seeing all the green when I first ordered) and every second one talked about some shipping problem that was 'not the seller's fault'. Yeah... that much of a problem? I'm thinking that's probably the seller. And the lesson there is - read the feedback before ordering! (She did resend as soon as I contacted her and it came within a fortnight.)
